Dr. Frederick grew up in Southern California and attended University of California, Santa Barbara, where she received her BA in Sociolegal Studies. After college, she worked for two years as an Emergency Medical Technician before deciding to pursue a career in medicine. She completed a one-year post-baccalaureate pre-medical program at Bryn Mawr College in Pennsylvania, and went on to earn her medical degree and Master’s in Public Health at Oregon Health and Science University. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Stanford University in 2010, and stayed on at Stanford for a two-year fellowship in Family Planning. During fellowship she focused her research on contraception for women after bariatric surgery, and also received further training in reproductive health law and women’s health policy.
Dr. Frederick is committed to providing comprehensive care for all women as they navigate life’s joys and challenges from adolescence to the golden years. She strives to educate and empower women in order to encourage a collaborative physician-patient relationship. Outside of the office, Dr. Frederick is also a devoted advocate for women’s health, working for evidence-based policies at the local and national level.
When not at work, Dr. Frederick enjoys running, yoga and snowboarding. She and her partner Chris are thrilled to be returning to the Pacific Northwest. |
